DEGEN Studios launches Loot Box Legends with switchable RPG and FPS modes

The studio’s latest release lets players decide how the same Loot Box feature pays out: as direct cash prizes or as multiplier wild reels.

DEGEN Studios released Loot Box Legends on 4 November 2026, a 19-line slot that players can switch between role-playing game (RPG) and first-person shooter (FPS) modes, with a maximum win of 25,000x.

Two modes, one Loot Box

According to the Loot Box Legends game page, the mode can be changed with a button before any spin.

  • In RPG mode, Loot Boxes award direct cash prizes from 1x up to the 25,000x maximum.
  • In FPS mode, winning Loot Boxes become Expanding Wild Reels with multipliers of up to 1,000x.

Each box cycles through possible outcomes before stopping on its prize, with rarity colours running from Light Blue to Gold.

Free Spins and bonus buys

The Free Spins round works differently in each mode. In RPG, Collector and Multiplier symbols are added, and higher bonus levels raise the minimum Loot Box value. The top RPG round, Legendary Vault, guarantees a Gold Loot Box worth at least 50x on its opening spin.

In FPS, the round is built around Sticky Wilds. Its Legendary Loadout bonus awards 12 Free Spins with a guaranteed Sticky Wild on the first spin. Reaching the maximum win in FPS mode requires a 500x multiplier, while in RPG it comes from the 25,000x Loot Box.

Buy Bonus options give direct entry to the three and four-Scatter Free Spins in either mode, and the Chest of Fate and Classified Drop buys offer a chance at the five-Scatter bonuses. Two Activate Options, Bonus Boost and Loot Box Spins, are also available.

What the studio said

Danny Gordon, Head of Studio at DEGEN Studios, said:

‘In RPG, you’re raiding the vault for that huge direct prize. Flip over to FPS and suddenly the loot becomes ammunition, with Wild multipliers combining across the reels. We wanted that choice to genuinely change the way the game feels, not just change what is on the screen.’

Gordon added that both worlds are driven by the same goal of getting hold of the loot.

The launch follows the studio’s Howl N’ Huff cluster pays slot in September. Speaking in European Gaming’s Halloween 2026 supplier special, Gordon said the studio prefers to build original game worlds from the ground up rather than give existing titles a seasonal makeover.
